My roles: Programmer, game & level designer

Made with: Unity

Ranked #1 in People's Choice and #2 in Judge's Choice for One Button Game Jam 2020.

A short 2.5 platformer featuring a pumpkin the player can control a single button for accessibility purposes. The game is controlled only by pressing the space bar, as this game was developed for the One Minute Button Jam to promote accessibility in video games. The interface can also be controlled by tapping and holding down the space bar to cycle through and select options.

As this game was developed for a game jam promoting accessibility in video games, the player has the option to choose their preferred timing speed at the beginning of the game. The player is presented with a range of speeds for both the revolving arrow and launch meter to allow them to choose the play style they are most comfortable with.

The game's main mechanic is a physics-based system that is controlled by user input. An arrow rotates around the pumpkin while it is resting on a surface. When space bar is pressed, the arrow freezes and a launch meter pops up next to it and begins increasing and decreasing in value. On another button press, the pumpkin is launched in the direction the arrow is pointing in with an added force determined by the launch meter.
